HAUTBOIS HALL WEDDING

SARAH & VIJAY, 12th September 2020

This was my first wedding at the exclusive and stunning Hautbois Hall in Little Hautbois, Norwich. Built in 1555, Hautbois Hall is a stunning Tudor Manor house which oozes character and stunning grounds.

I first met Sarah & Vijay at a wedding fayre in Sheffield and they are such a lovely couple.  When they got in touch to book I was a happy man.  Even though they had to amend their plans, change the date and scale down the day to 30 guests, I knew it would be something special and it exceeded my expectations.  The day was perfect and the weather was on our side, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.  This is when a guest says something like what a perfect day for photos and you’re actually thinking damm, I need some shelter or cloud cover right now.  Luckily there are soo many perfect locations around the grounds, including a nearby barn I scouted earlier in the day.

This was only the second ceremony in the new barn ceremony room which was perfect for the 30 guests.  It was a strange feeling shooting people with their masks on, but you could still see and feel the love and happiness in the room.  After the ceremony we moved to the raised lawn at the front of the house with the guidance from the wonderful wedding planner, Cheryl.  The couple and their guests then jumped aboard a bus to the walled Garden Kitchen Cafe at Hoveton.  Hoveton Hall Estate provided much of the freshly prepared food and luckily I was invited to join the wedding breakfast and sample it forts hand (perk of the job).  Drinks, speeches and music in the beautiful courtyard, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Thanks to Sarah & Vijay for choosing me to capture their day and just being amazingly kind people.  Roll on 2021 weddings.
